Advisor engagement checklist
- Scope: topics (fundraising, product, GTM) and out of scope items.
- Time: hours per month, meeting cadence, async expectations.
- Compensation: cash vs equity vs both; equity percentage or dollar cap.
- Vesting or cliff for advisor equity if applicable.
- Confidentiality and conflicts: other boards, investments, employers.
- Term and termination: notice period either side.
- IP and materials: who owns work product from sessions.
- Introductions: attribution and process for warm intros.
